Head of Engineering
We’re looking for an experienced engineer to lead the technology function at Minviro and spearhead our transition to a SaaS-driven business.
Join Minviro: Help shape a more sustainable future
Minviro is at the forefront of the transition to a green economy. The technologies needed for this transition (such as batteries, magnets, and solar panels) are massively more energy-intensive to produce than their fossil fuel counterparts (such as combustion engines). Without consideration, the transition to green energy will not be enough to prevent climate catastrophe. Our goal is clear: to help companies in the energy transition understand, and reduce, their environmental impact.
As a growing startup with aspirations to become a leading name in environmental intelligence, our culture is shaped by ambition, collaboration, and constant innovation. Our team has expanded rapidly, doubling in size in 2022 and 2023, and we've recently opened new offices in Shanghai and Perth. This growth reflects our position as the most respected LCA consultancy in the energy transition sector.
We're now ready to take the next step on a journey, where technology plays a pivotal role in how we empower the energy sector with environmental intelligence. We’ve set an ambitious goal for software to be the primary revenue driver for the business by 2026, and want to build the team to help us get there.
The Role
We’re looking for an engineer to lead the technology function at Minviro and spearhead our transition to a SaaS-focused business.
You will be responsible, alongside our Product team, for building a new environmental intelligence platform for the green transition sector. The market for carbon accounting software is competitive, but it is also growing fast, and we see big opportunities for disruption. This role will drive the delivery of the new product, focusing on rapid iteration and low cost of learning in search of product-market fit.
You’ll have a small team of engineers to support you, as well as an exceptional product designer, product manager, and commercial team.
This role is an amazing chance to work in one of the most exciting tech industries today and tell your story as a climate tech innovator. The role has incredible opportunities for professional growth, with exposure to the most senior stakeholders (C-suite, board), and decisions on company strategy and management.
